Types Of Colors

There are many different types of colors like the primary and the secondary ones.

1. Primary Colors

Those colors which are not created from other colors are known as the primary colors like red, blue, and yellow.

2. Secondary Colors

The colors which are created with the help of the primary colors are known as the secondary colors like orange, purple and green.

3. Tertiary Colors

The third type of color is the tertiary colors as it is made up of the combination of the secondary and the primary colors. When all the types of colors combine with each other they make the wheel of colors, now the writers or the presenters are in the position to choose among many colors.

Choice Of Colors

The choice of the colors depends upon the writers’ choice that what the writer/presenter wants to do like contrast, affect, and blending. The complementary colors are good for contrast because through this one can easily differentiate the subject/object. Forgiving more importance to the quotes or facts the writer can use the text in black colors on the white background because it gives a differentiation effect, on the other hand, if the writer needs the low contrast then blue on a black background is enough.

  • Light and Dark Color Modes

The writer should use the dark color on the light background or light color on the dark background because this facilitates the reader to read the text properly. Analogous are those colors that offer little contrast, nature is a pure example of providing these colors. The writer should know that which color is properly associated with the particular expression so to add while writing like if the document is full of arguments and aggression then it is better to use the red color. The meaning of the specific color is different in different cultures.

  • Selection of Colors

The proper selection of colors is very important for the students to make while writing and drafting the document because this expresses the esthetic sense of the writer to the readers. The academic organizations should encourage the color theory among the students so that they can make good choices and blends of colors. Let the students from the very start make the secondary and tertiary colors from the primary and the second one so in this way the students could be expert in choosing the right color for the text.
