While writing to steal any idea or language without crediting the original source is considered plagiarism.

It doesn’t matter if that particular source is copyrighted or not. Plagiarism means copying or duplicating the material without permission and not even quoting the original source intentionally or unintentionally.

These days with ease you can find information on the internet, Taking advantage of this facility is no crime, but it is essential that the source should be stated so that proper credit can be given to the person. If one copy and paste some document without labeling it in your notes, you may end up taking credit for what is not yours.

It is important to remember that every website has an author, and therefore that website should be properly cited in your content. There are many types of plagiarism that one may not be familiar with. So it necessary that one should first understand, as to what is plagiarism as well as how it should be avoided.

Paraphrasing :

When one paraphrases, it is important that one must completely restate the ideas in own words. If you write a passage too close to the original, you are actually plagiarizing. In order to do this, it is necessary that one should not look at the original text while writing their content.

When the work is done,then only one must look at the original paper or you can also check on plagiarism checker so that it is clear that the writing has not been plagiarized .

If plagiarism still exists then you can remove it by using paraphrasing tool.One cannot run away from the fact that what is plagiarism, because matter plagiarized intentionally or unintentionally comes in the category of plagiarism.

The idea still belongs to the original author,even if you have used it in your own words. It is not enough to paraphrase the material responsibly, as you still have to cite the source.

As with quoting, you actually need to make the reader understand that the topic you are elaborating on actually belongs to someone else. Therefore, it is necessary to provide to the reader enough information so that he can reach back to the original source. The rule is very simple, even if you have no idea that what is plagiarism simply understand that after using someone’s idea either cite the source or quote it.

Plagiarism can also be understood with the example that for suppose, you have been given an assignment to work individually or in a group. There also you must brainstorm in a group but write the content of your own.

Further, if in that discussion a colleague comes up with an idea, one should cite him in the report that the group has to submit. The main idea is to understand what is plagiarism and actually refraining from doing it.

Plagiarism is an emerging problem that should be nipped in the bud so that the ideas of the original writers and researchers can be saved from stolen. One should understand that the work of others is not for sale at free of cost because nobody likes the fact, that someone stole one’s pencil without permission.
