Resizing Provides Better Results Than Cropping & Stretching

I used to think that cropping, stretching and resizing are same things. You might also be someone who feels like me. But when I started my research on this topic, I was surprised to know that most of what I thought wasn’t right. What really fascinated me is the usefulness of image resizer.

Cropping means to make an image fit within a specific dimension. You may crop a picture when you want the viewers to focus on a particular section. By cropping the photos, you cut some parts of the image. However, resizing refers to making a picture “weigh” less. This technique efficiently brings down or broad the actual size of the image.

When you resize the picture into a small size, you see the whole picture, unlike the image you get after cropping. No part of the picture is removed or missed.

Similarly, when you stretch an image to make it bigger, the pixels of the image is destroyed, and you see the picture blur — on the other hand, resizing increase the size of the picture by amending the pixels of the image. So, when you resize the photo into its large size, you see the same photo without any blurriness.

Size of Megapixels of Cameras

Many people still love to take pictures from the camera which most of the times result in the large-sized image. The standard size of megapixels is 8 or more, and as the megapixel size of the camera gets bigger, the pictures from your camera will be in broader dimensions as well as pixels. It is one of the main reasons I started using image resizer because the size of the images matters when it comes to printing, posting on the website, or emailing pictures.

As the dimensions, lengths, and widths of the pictures you receive are bigger, it becomes difficult to use them. For example, I had a picture with a width of 500 cm and 200 cm in height. When I tried to upload it, again and again, an error was coming. After changing the size of the image from the image resizer, from 500 to 300 width and keeping the height same. I tried again, and the image got loaded immediately. Since then whenever I want to upload a picture, I utilize this tool.

However, learning the proper way to resize the image is significant too as a picture is worth a thousand words, so it is essential to make sure you have used it correctly.

Let it be in Perspective

When you decide to resize the image or any screenshot from your gallery, keep the ratio of width to height same. Keeping both of the ratio equals helps to make sure that your image does not look warped or stretched. Experts or image editors also use the same technique to make sure that the outcome of the picture comes in the best manner possible.

Don’t try to Enlarge the Image

Many times, when you are working on the images in a document, many arrows are often visible to you on the corners and sides of the picture. By just adjusting that arrow you can change the size of the image. People find it easy and do this thing. No doubt you can keep on expanding the corners and make it look exactly of the size you are willing for.

It is beguiling but surely is not a good idea. Usually, when you perform this action, you stretch the image which 100% directly affects the quality of the image. I stopped doing this because I was continuously making my whole work ugly by extending the picture. To overcome this problem, I started using image resizer and got satisfied.

You can even reduce the size of the picture too through arrows which makes the image look smaller but sketchy.

Image resizer allowed me to make the size of the picture all according to the requirements. I used this tool when I was making the presentation for my project too. It made me adjust the images within the slides conveniently, and instead of looking off-putting, those pictures attracted the attention of the viewer. You can utilize this tool too as it will provide you with big and small images without affecting the quality of pictures.
